Blue Agave Purist
Though David Suro, founder of Siembra Azul, considers himself a purist because he drinks blanco tequilas – unaged, clear and crisp – that hasn’t stopped him from making an añejo tequila for Siembra Azul. The añejo was released this month and is smooth, sweet and complex with flavors of caramel and vanilla. Aged in virgin American oak barrels for 18 months, this tequila embraces the best the agave plants has to offer.
