The Tequila Guy has an interest in tequila that began about 15 years ago, and since then has blossomed into a passion. It is this passion that demands he attempt to convert the uninitiated as he dispels long held myths regarding tequila.

Hailing from the east coast of the US, The Tequila Guy has experienced limited access to the true “tequila community” found more readily on the west coast and, of course, in Mexico. While traveling, however, he has had the opportunity to better pursue his quest for unique and interesting tequilas to share with others.

To increase his knowledge, understanding and growing collection of tequilas, The Tequila Guy searched the internet for a website community.  While finding quite a few, none seemed to put everything together in one place. Therefore, The Tequila Guy took the opportunity to create this site to promote 100% agave tequilas and educate, entertain and enlighten those interested in them.  Feel free to join this community to ask questions, provide answers, rate tequilas, track your collection, discover new tequilas and new places to enjoy them, and share your love of tequilas.

In forming this site, The Tequila Guy debated the best way to rate tequilas.  Whether using the 5-star rating or the 100 point system, he would have his hand full if he wanted to rate over 400 tequilas for the community.  Therefore, this site is introducing the Tastocracy Ratings System, which provides visitors and contributors to the site the opportunity to have a democratic vote on the rating of each tequila.  His vote is just one of the many that create the final rating.  After all, who knows the value of a tequila better than the community that is drinking it!

This site should be an information source for you regarding 100% agave tequilas. As the tequila industry continues to change quickly, please keep him up to date on information you have. The Tequila Guy will always do his best to keep the site current with information and as accurate as possible
