I am a new member and I live in the Seattle. We are known for our microbrews and coffee, little attention is paid to the better things (at least as far as I am concerned). I tried a fruit infused Patron last night and it was wonderful. I was looking on line for some good recipes and could not find anything. Does anyone have any experience with this? I would love to infuse some at home for a party and am not sure how to go about it to get the best results. I would appreciate any insight anyone may have. Thanks

Hi cherlfisher4, I was intrigued with your question and there are many recipes out there using Patron Silver with fruit infusion. first check out this website www.patronspirits.com I hope will help you get started on your quest. If this doesn't seem to work, I will research more for you. nice meeting you

Cherlfisher,

1st thing you wanna do is save yourself some $$. Use a cheaper tequila for your infusing. At my tequila bar, we use Chinaco Silver. It ends up being about 10-15 dollars cheaper then Patron Silver. Any 100% agave silver tequila will do, in fact. Patron does not make the infusion, the fresh fruits, herbs, spices and vegtables that you use, will. Use your imagination...What are your 2 favorite fruits? Do you have a favorite herb or spice? Favorite vegtable? The best part about infusing is you can choose your own adventure. If you want recipes, myself or others can surely supply them. However, my advice, find a cheaper/better tequila then patron silver...And then head down to your local farmers market or grocer and find a few great seasonal fruits and veggies. Enjoy.

DCadvantages, has a real good point. Patron as of late is on the market everywhere for being the Best Tequila because of the hype with it being used in Music and other things so your going to pay a higher price for a descent Tequila. Chinaco Silver for instance beats Patron hands down and for the price its a steal. If your into infused Silvers you might also try Milagro, Herradura, Cabo Wabo I also enjoy them with some Resposados like Cazadores, Corazon and Don julio, it gives it a little extra bite LOL

I agree 100% with SirGringo06 and DCadvantages, Patron is good, but you can get a whole lot of flavor from the Chinaco silver. Chinaco silver is widely available, less expensive, and I would highly recommend using it. I love Herradura as well. However, I think it has more complexity and could interfere with the infusion you're trying for.

I know restaurantpartsguy was doing an aging with some added flavor. Hopefully he'll chime in with some suggestions as well.

Thank you for all of the great insight. I will take the advice and start attempting my own at home.
